Understanding the Terminology

To help you choose the right product and optimize your workflow, here is a breakdown of key DTF terms:

• Standard Gangsheet vs. Rolling Gangsheet:

  • Standard Gangsheet: A pre-cut transfer sheet with fixed dimensions (e.g., 24″ x 22″, 24″ x 60″) that you lay out using our builder. This is ideal for specific batches, organized jobs, or smaller projects where you need a defined amount of space.

  • Rolling Gangsheet: A continuous, uncut roll of transfers utilizing our full 24-inch width, priced by length. It has no maximum length cutoff, making it the superior choice for massive bulk orders and minimizing the empty margins that occur between standard sheets.

• Ready to Press: The state in which your transfers arrive—completely finished. The ink has been printed, the adhesive powder applied, and the sheet perfectly cured. There is zero weeding or prep work required. Just cut out your design, place it on the shirt, and press.

• Hot Peel: This refers to the application method. Unlike traditional “cold peel” films that force you to wait for the garment to cool down completely, our hot peel film can be ripped away immediately while the transfer is still scorching hot. This cuts your pressing time in half and drastically increases your daily output.

Artwork Setup Rules & Upload Policy

Our builder prints exactly what you place on the canvas. To ensure your transfers print flawlessly, your uploaded artwork must strictly adhere to the following setup rules.

⚠️ UPLOAD POLICY: NO RETURNS OR REFUNDS Because this is a fully custom-printed product, we do not offer returns, refunds, or reprints for poor print quality caused by low-quality uploads. You, the customer, are 100% responsible for the quality, sizing, and resolution of the artwork you place in the gangsheet builder. Please double-check your designs before checking out.

1. Color Mode (CMYK)

Your artwork must be designed and exported in CMYK color mode. RGB colors look great on a digital screen but will shift during the physical printing process. Designing in CMYK ensures the colors you see on your monitor closely match the colors that press onto your shirts.

2. Resolution (300 DPI/PPI)

All artwork must be sized to its actual intended print scale at 300 DPI/PPI (Dots/Pixels Per Inch). If you upload a small, low-resolution image and use the builder to stretch it to fit the sheet, the final print will be highly pixelated, blurry, and blocky.

3. Transparent Background

Your file must have a 100% transparent background. Do not submit files with solid white or black boxes behind the design unless you actually want that colored box printed on your garment. The builder will not automatically remove backgrounds for you.

• Crucial Note: Remove all drop shadows, transparent gradients, and soft glow effects. DTF printers lay down a solid layer of white ink behind all colors to make them opaque. Semi-transparent pixels will not print correctly and will result in a harsh white halo around your design.

4. File Format

We recommend uploading high-resolution PNG files with transparent backgrounds directly into the builder for the best experience. Ensure all artwork is cropped closely to the edges of the design so you can accurately size it on the 24-inch wide canvas.
